🚚 How the Booking Process Works
- Complete the compatibility check first.
We do not support every laptop model, so this step is important. Please make sure your laptop has passed the booking form before placing your reservation. - Reserve your upgrade for £10.
This secures your booking and starts the process. - Choose your preferred SSD size above.
The storage option you select tells us which final upgrade price applies if the service goes ahead:- 500GB SSD – final price £150
- 1TB SSD – final price £190
- 2TB SSD – final price £240
Your £10 booking fee is deducted from the final price if the upgrade proceeds.
- Send your laptop to us or choose collection.
Once booked, we send you the next steps so you can post your laptop or arrange collection, depending on the option selected above. - We assess your laptop before proceeding.
We first confirm that an SSD upgrade is suitable for your laptop and likely to deliver a worthwhile performance improvement. - If the upgrade is suitable, we contact you for the remaining balance.
The balance due depends on the SSD option chosen above:- 500GB SSD – £140 remaining
- 1TB SSD – £180 remaining
- 2TB SSD – £230 remaining
We then complete the upgrade, transfer your data, test the laptop, and return it to you.
- If the upgrade is not suitable, no upgrade fee applies.
In that case, you do not pay the remaining balance. This is part of our no fix, no fee approach.
🛡 No Fix, No Fee
If we determine that an SSD upgrade is unsuitable for your laptop, or unlikely to provide a worthwhile improvement,
no upgrade fee will be charged. If the upgrade goes ahead, your £10 booking fee is deducted from the final price.
📦 What’s Included If the Upgrade Goes Ahead?
- ✔ Brand new SSD supplied and installed
- ✔ Full data transfer from your existing drive where possible
- ✔ System testing after installation
- ✔ Insured and tracked return delivery
- ✔ 12 month parts warranty
- ✔ Clear updates throughout the process
